My Reading at the Elephant Room
One of the best things I’ve done since becoming an author has been to join the Association of Rhode Island Authors. They are really great at pulling together events that support all of us as authors. Like, a lot of the events I advertise on my Upcoming Events page, I have learned about from ARIA.
One of the really cool things they do is that on the last Thursday of every month they host the Lively Literati at The Elephant Room in Cranston, RI. It’s this adorable tea shop that serves crepes. In August I managed to get in on the line up, and it was a blast.
I read my favorite chapter from Beside the Music. It’s the scene where Portia and Keith have an altercation that just turns out hilarious and over the top. I had a blast reading it. Here are some shots that Guy Natelli from ARIA took. He took a lot of pictures. It's overwhelming to sort through so many pictures of me me ME!

I got to tell the story about how I came up with my cover. And the part about how the first thing my Dad asked about it was "Why is there a bra on the cover?"
And here's the video that Maggie MacGillivray took for me. It's the scene where Portia smacks Keith upside the head with her purse. And then it goes downhill from there.
