My Book List: In 2016 I Read 22,043 Pages

As a writer, it’s important to be a reader.  And let me tell you, I am an avid reader.  I joke that my library card is melted around the edges from overuse.  I typically burn through a novel every week.  But in past years I haven’t ever thought to track what I am reading.  But on my web site I keep track of what I’ve been reading, and I try to update it every week, you can see that here.

Now that I am keeping track, I can easily see what I’ve read in 2016.  Here are my stats:

In 2016 I read 64 books.  An average of 1.23 books per week.

A total of 22,043 pages, an average of 60 pages per day.

I didn’t count books I started but did not finish into my page count, nor are any of those listed below.  I will usually decide around page 50 if I am not feeling it and stop reading.

What I haven’t tracked is the number of times that Todd has heard me say “Let me finish this chapter,” when he asks me if I want to go do something else.

Here are all the books I read last year, the most recent is at the top
